The Zionist Empowerment Project is committed to supporting Israel.
"Zionism" is the belief that Israel has the right to exist, and to defend herself.
That promise is not the original homeland of Abraham and his descendents (Southern Iraq) but the land from the Egypt River to the Euphrates River, a land including modern Israeli and Palestinian lands.
"I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
We believe this ultimate blessing undoubtedly refers to biblical Israel and its neighbors. Its fulfillment is primarily to the blessing of salvation extended to all peoples and nations through the Temple in the Old Testament.
“When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and when they turn back to You and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this temple, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers." (1 Kings 8:33-34)
We believe that if the Bible is to be believed -- and it is -- the modern secular state of Israel (though not all Israelis) is in unbelief, but it will in the future return to belief. The Church has not replaced Israel as God’s chosen people. The Church is God’s instrument until Israel’s future return to belief.
"I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." (Romans 11:1)
"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews." (John 4:22)
We believe political positions and decisions made by the Israeli government are often without religious overtones. If their positions are contrary to human rights, American interests, or Christian ethics, then their policies should be challenged.
We believe on issues unrelated to the right to a homeland and a defense of their country, Christians must support Israel when they are right and oppose them when they are wrong.
We believe on issues related to Israel's right to a homeland, and on Israel's right to defend herself and her existence, as Christians we have a Scriptural responsibility to support Israel in any way -- and by all means -- possible.
We believe we owe a debt of gratitude to Israel. From the population of Israel came Christ himself, according to the flesh, who is the Light to enlighten the Gentiles; out of the same population came the Prophets, and Apostles, and first preachers of the Gospel.
"It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things." (Romans 15:27)
This "debt" is not a human debt, but the divine debt associated with the Grace from receiving the Gospel of Christ. The "gain" we receive from this spiritual act is in the opportunity to minister to the needs of Jewish people in the physical realm. Our reward, our gain, is in Heaven.
"He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor." (Psalm 112:9)
We believe the members of Zionist Empowerment Project (ZEP) should employ a wide range of strategies in their support for Israel. Some of these efforts help Israel directly, some indirectly.
Strategies that support Israel directly include, but are are not limited to: promoting tourism to Israel by our members; calling for the purchase of Israeli-made products; and, participating in any pro-Israel function possible in which proceeds are given directly to the state of Israel.
Strategies that support Israel indirectly include, but are not limited to: lobbying efforts by our members directed at US political representatives in a direct position to have a positive impact on Israel; speaking at organized pro-Israel functions; and, the use of social media and internet resources to promote a positive image for the state of Israel.
We believe that by employing our blog to promote Israel, fellowship among those of us who support Israel, and building a strong collective voice based on sound Scriptural principles that advocate for Israel in unison, God will Bless all of us while Blessing Israel as well.
We believe your support of this mission will make Israel stronger.
"For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” (Romans 11:25-26)
A strong and healthy Israel is what God requires, what Scripture commands, and what our world needs right now -- not later.
We believe that we -- you and I -- with God's help, can make a difference. Join us in our mission, and be Blessed!
